What we collect, and why.

Who we are
This site and Backed are run by Adology. If you have a question about your information, email james@getadology.com.
Your Meta ad account
If you connect your Meta ad account (for your free audit, or once we work together), here is how we use it.
- What we read. Your ads’ performance (spend, results and dates) and the ads themselves (images, videos and text). For the free audit the access is read-only. If you work with us, we also ask for permission to place paused ads in your account; nothing runs until you switch it on.
- Why. To run your free audit and, if you work with us, to make your ads.
- What we don’t do. We never sell or share your data, and never show it to other brands.
- Disconnecting and deletion. You can remove our access any time in Meta Business Settings, under Integrations, Business integrations. To have us delete what we read, email james@getadology.com and we’ll confirm within 30 days.
What you give us
When you sign up, the form sends us:
- your work email and company domain;
- your monthly performance spend band;
- the types of ads you’re willing to run.
What we collect automatically
- How you found us. The campaign tags in the link you clicked (such as utm_source or fbclid), the page you landed on and the site that sent you. These are kept for your visit only and sent with your application.
- The Meta Pixel. If you arrive from a Meta ad, a small piece of code from Meta records that you viewed this page and, if you sign up, that you signed up. Meta uses its own cookies (_fbp and _fbc) for this. We use it to see which of our ads bring real sign-ups and to show our ads to people more likely to be a fit. We may send the same "application sent" event to Meta from our server, so it isn’t lost if your browser blocks the Pixel. We don’t send your answers to the form to Meta.
What Meta does with this is covered by Meta’s privacy policy.
How we use it
- to review your sign-up and reply by email;
- to measure and improve our own ads;
- to keep the form free of spam.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t add you to a mailing list.
Who else sees it
Only the services that run this site for us: our web host, the system that stores sign-ups, and Meta for the Pixel events above. Each only gets what it needs to do that job.
How long we keep it
We keep your sign-up while we’re reviewing it and while we work together. If we don’t, we delete it within 12 months, or sooner if you ask.
Your choices
- Email us to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. We reply within 30 days.
- You can block cookies in your browser, or turn off ad tracking in your Meta ad preferences. The site still works.
Changes
If we change this page, we’ll update the date at the top.
